Come and Join us for our 2nd Annual Spiritual Retreat
September 17-19 is coming up fast. That means that our 2nd Annual Spiritual Retreat at Camp Mivoden is just around the corner. Those of you who joined us last year know what a blessing it was. Many of you couldn't wait to tell your family and friends about the great time we had. I hope you invite them to join us this year.We are planning more kids activities for Saturday morning, plenty of activities for Saturday afternoon and now that we know what the Mega Marathon is all about ... Sunday morning is going to be a blast. All we need is for you to sign up and join us.
Somebody once asked me, "Why bother with a Retreat? Isn't it just a waste of time and money?" My response is, "No way!" Things happen at retreats that don't happen at regular church services or in every day life. Lives are changed at Retreats. I'm reminded of the answer to the question, "What's a youth pastor?" The answer, "A Youth pastor is somebody who works his or her tail off for 51 weeks a year so the Youth Camp can get the credit for their kids accepting Jesus and being baptized after one week at camp." It's a little cynical approach, I'll admit, but the point is ... something special happens at Youth Camp that doesn't happen all year long. Consider this Spiritual Retreat your Youth Camp Experience for the year, because something special happens at a Retreat that doesn't happen all year long.
At a Retreat there is renewal and refreshing. Unity is developed like in no other setting. Relationships are strengthened, not just among those attending the retreat, but relationships with those at home are frequently dealt with in a more positive and hopeful manner due to the chance to rest and find renewal in God. Frequently a new perspective of our walk with Jesus Christ is also realized at a Retreat and as a result we are better able to encourage and minister to others.
If you'd like to join us send us an email, we'll get you the information. I can guarantee you this. If you aren't there, you'll be missing a blessing! Join us for a blessing that will impact your life in many ways.
