Resurrection and Spring: My favorite time of the year!

As many of you know I (Ron) have a love/hate relationship with Winter. I hate it when it comes and I love it when it leaves. It makes me really popular with the skiing, snowboarding and snowmobiling crowd. :)

My favorite season has to be Spring. I love watching everything turn green. I’ll walk around the yard and look at the buds coming out on the trees and shrubs. The bulb type plants are poking out of the ground. The grass is turning green. Things are coming alive. After the dead of winter, life is coming back to the earth.

I love that symbolism, too. It is what Jesus did. He died; He rose again. It’s not just the earth that is coming back to life, it is the whole of creation that can experience a resurrection because Jesus was resurrected.

As we see things come back to life this Spring, let’s remember that we have eternal life and the hope of our own resurrection, because of what Jesus did that Glorious Spring 2,000 years ago. He has risen. He has risen, indeed!!!
