Opportunities to Serve Others

“Everybody can be great because everybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

– Martin Luther King, Jr.

Serving others is a great way connect with people and grow spiritually. At Summit, there are many volunteer opportunities to choose from. We’ll make sure you find one that is perfect for you! Just follow the two steps below to get started.

Step One:
Training / Clearance

We ask all our volunteers to take the Adventist Screening Verification training, provide references, and give consent for a background check. It is one of many steps we take to make Summit a safe place for families to connect. It also assists us with satisfying insurance expectations. The training and screening provided through Adventist Screening Verification helps us, as volunteers, know how to better protect those we serve, ourselves, and the organizations in which we serve.

If you would like to volunteer at Summit Northwest Ministries now or in the future, please download the instructions using the link provided. The screening is free to you. Thank you for volunteering at Summit. We love you for it!

If you have any questions or run into problems with the form, contact Sheryl Janke, our Adventist Screening Verification Director at:

or by email at screening4kids@summitnorthwest.org

Step Two: Choose the Areas that Interest You.

It’s easy! Just click on the volunteer areas below that interest you. Clicking multiple interests will not commit you to all areas you’ve selected. We will follow up with you after we receive your form to determine the best fit.
